Wow! It's certainly been a while since I have posted anything...sorry! I just can't believe how fast life is going! This summer has certainly felt like a whirlwind! It's scary and exciting to think that I will be a college grad and Nashville-bound in just a matter of months! I do believe that I am more than ready- prepared? Well, now that is another story...I don't believe we are ever truly "prepared" for life...that's what makes it so great, right? As I sit and ponder the fact that this summer and life in general have been passing by so quickly, I feel compelled to begin to really think about what I would like to accomplish in the future...for so long, it's been just simple tasks such as working/saving money and getting through school. It's great to know that I will finally have a chance at life...my life! It can be whatever I make of it! It's mine...so I feel compelled to share with you some of my goals (both short and long term) for the future! Some may be shooting high, but you know- "Shoot for the moon, at least you will land among the stars"
*not in any particular order:
-Meet/Sing with my all-time IDOL, Leann Rimes (she may be one of the most talented female singers of all time...a true class act)
-Make a living by performing/singing...whether that mean fame, back-up, studio work, local gigs, etc...
-Start a mentor program for young, aspiring musicians
-Stay in touch with the people that I love, no matter where I am in this crazy world
-Travel the country/Europe
-Deepen and Strengthen my relationship with God
-Have a dog...one of the little, fluffy ones that stay little forever...and the ones that you can get a little home for...you know, those "purse type" of homes...so I can carry it with me when I go places and it can stick it's little head out...plus, I would name her Bella!
-Settle down...get married...have a family...but, not for a while...only when I feel financially and emotionally ready to have children, will I do so.
-Produce a CD with my own, original music
-Once settled down in a city, create some sort of outlet for musicians-who knows what they may be at this point in time, but the thoughts are brewing...they always are:)
-Sing in front of a stadium-sized crowd...10,000 (plus) people....yea, that would be nice...
-Be able to make "the call"...the call to my family telling them that I made it...finally confirm the feeling that everything has finally paid off...
-Open a benefit-fund in my grandmother's name, Lorraine Moker, because I remember her always singing to me and playing the piano...unfortunately, she was taken long before her time...
Yeah, If I could accomplish half of that, life would be complete...of course, having my friends and families live long, healthy lives would satisfy me as well.
Goodnight,
Jessica
