Nashville/ CD Release/ Upcoming Events!

Hello again!

I know I haven't blogged in a while (my apologies!), but life has been doing a great job at keeping me extremely busy. You don't realize just how nice summer vacation is until you come back to school....haha! While I enjoy the relaxing break, I am someone who gets quite bored and likes to be busy so I, for the most part, am happy right now. I have a few things to address in this post so lets get to it!

First off, I made it home safely from Nashville!!! Last month, I traveled to Nashville as part of my winnings from Cell Phone Superstar! NASHVILLE IS AMAZING!!! I absolutely loved every minute of it! A friend and I flew into Nashville on Thursday afternoon and went directly to the record label. While at the label, I got to record a song in one of their studios and hang out and meet some people at the label. After that business was finished, we were taken to our hotel. The hotel that the label put us up at was amazing! Our room was actually a suite with a kitchen, living room, the works! It was crazy awesome! After getting a good meal and a good night's rest, we started off Friday by a complete tour of the entire label (all offices and stuff like that- pretty cool- got some free CDs and stuff!!!) and then we got to make a surprise visit to recording artists, MANDISA (She was on American Idol) and MATTHEW WEST (Christian recording artist)...it was really cool to get to meet them and watch them work a little bit...definitely one of the most exciting parts of the trip! The rest of our trip pretty much consisted of sight seeing and stuff like that...it was pretty cool and I pretty much fell in love with Nashville! I am more excited than ever to move there!

CD RELEASE!!!

I will be recording in the studio next week! I have been working really hard on this project and it has been consuming most of my free time for past month a half. Next week I will be recording 10-15 tracks which will result in the release of two CDs (one CD of covers and one CD of originals!). The projected release for these CDs is the beginning to middle of December! I can't wait to get my own music out to the public and also record some of my favorite cover songs at this point in time-- hopefully you will all enjoy them! The prices of the CDs is yet to be determined. I will most likely be compiling a list of my closest family and friends and emailing people with the opportunity to pre-order the CDs (possibly a discounted rate- not yet determined)-- if you would like to be a part of that list, please send an email to jessica@jessicaplansky.com! I can't wait for the release of this project!!! :)
